What are Air Contaminants?

  • Particulates – dust, dust mites, pollen, smoke particles
  • Microbes – bacteria, viruses, mould spores, germs
  • Chemicals – benzene, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide, VOC’s
  • General Odours – cooking smells, pets, shoes, damp washing... the list is endless!
What do they do?
Poor air quality is renowned for causing and exacerbating allergies and asthma, however more recent studies have shown that poor air is a contributing factor in a number of other ailments. Cancer, respiratory illnesses, a number of other pulmonary infections and Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease can all be caused by inhalation of toxins.
